Earth Month News
Conshohocken, PA – April 1, 2026 – In celebration of Earth Month, IKEA U.S. is offering opportunities for customers to live more sustainably through a new food item, offers on circular services, and in‑store events.
“At IKEA U.S., we believe that taking collective and consistent actions can create meaningful change for our planet,” said Mardi Ditze, Country Sustainability Manager at IKEA U.S. “Whether it’s choosing a plant-based meal, repairing a piece of furniture using our free Spare Parts Service, or shopping second-chance items in the As-is section, we aim to make it easier for the many to take simple steps that add up to a better everyday life and a more sustainable future.”
The Fish Ball
- Beginning on Earth Day, April 22, the fish ball, made with haddock, will join the IKEA U.S. Swedish restaurant meatball menu.
- This new dish supports the work toward creating more sustainable and resilient food systems. All wild‑caught fish and shrimp served and sold at IKEA come from fisheries independently certified to Marine Stewardship Council (MSC) standards, helping to support healthier oceans, protect marine ecosystems and secure seafood supplies for generations to come.
- Each fish ball dish will be served with mashed potatoes, green peas, lemon dill sauce, lingonberry jam, and a lemon wedge. An 8‑piece meal starts at $6.99, offering customers an affordable and responsibly sourced seafood choice.
- On April 24 and 25, customers can visit their local, participating IKEA U.S. store to be among the first to try this new offering. Visit your local IKEA page for more details.
IKEA Family Member Bonuses on Circular Services
Throughout April, IKEA Family Members can take advantage of special offerings on circular services:

Tiny Chef Scavenger Hunt
IKEA has teamed up with Tiny Chef, the internet’s favorite 6.5” tall herbivore, to serve the new falafel balls at IKEA Restaurants. To celebrate the partnership, participating IKEA U.S. stores will host a Tiny Chef-themed in-store scavenger hunt, complete with photo moments and family-friendly prizes throughout April.
