How to tidy up your entryway for easier everyday takeoffs and landings

Your entryway is like the runway of an airport. In order to ensure flights come and go with ease and remain on time, the runway must be organized and optimized; simply put, everything must be in its right place. Otherwise, flights are delayed, passengers are hangry, babies are crying, vacay plans are disrupted and a whole slew of minor travel tragedies ensue. Sound eerily familiar?

In order to avoid a similar runway traffic jam with your everyday comings and goings, we want to help you organize your runway, errr entryway. Here are some quick, simple tips that will help you create a more organized space so all your everyday essentials are ready to go and your routines run smoother, just like a well-managed airport runway!

Tips and tricks for entryway organization

Start by diversifying your storage. You can use boxes, bins, baskets and other containers, as well as a combo of open and closed storage. You can even organize things by type and container. For instance, you can put all your scarves folded in boxes and all your gloves in bins. You can keep your most essential items (like shoes) in open storage for easy access, and your less used or bulkier things behind closed doors.

Working with a small space? Go vertical! Using wall hooks and hanging storage are excellent ways to work around limited space and to keep things like backpacks, hats and bags organized. Using drawer organizers will help store your smaller items, like keys, glasses or phone chargers. Also, choosing storage made with wood or natural fibers is a great way to keep your storage stylish, too.
