How to make a phone pouch

What you’ll need:

FRAKTA IKEA blue bag, scissors, ruler or tape measure, sewing machine or glue.

1. Cut the IKEA blue bag open at the sides and lay it out flat. Cut the straps off of the bag.

2. Use as many of the existing seams as possible. We chose to use the top seam.

3. Cut out a rectangle (A), measuring 16 cm x 15 cm.

4. Now cut a smaller 16 cm x 10 cm rectangle (B).

5. Glue or stitch the sides and the bottom of the smaller rectangle (B) to your larger square (A), making sure the larger piece overlaps the smaller one at the bottom. This creates the pocket for your credit card.

6. Fold the whole thing in half, with your pre-selected seams at the top. Turn it inside out and use a glue gun or sewing machine to glue or stitch them together, about 1 cm in on each side.

7. Flatten everything out so that your new seam is at the middle of the back of the pouch. Glue or sew it together at the bottom, as well.

8. Turn it inside out again so the seams will be on the inside of the pouch.

9. Stitch the strap to the sides of your pouch.

10. Cut out a 8.5 cm x 4.5 cm (C) rectangle to create a flap for your phone bag.

11. Sew or glue it to the inside of the back of the pouch (the pocket should face forward).

12. Done!
