Create family fun around the table
When it comes to bringing the whole family together, there’s no better place to make it happen than the dining table. Keep everyone happy with their own activities, and just enjoy the company.
Do more than eat
A true love for food starts early and usually with the smallest of tasks. Keep children engaged and give them a part to play in the family meal, like dusting dessert with snowy, powdered sugar. It’ll be much easier for them to do at the dining table than at high kitchen counters.
Dish it out
Forget matchy-matchy flatware. It’s not about perfection, after all, it’s about togetherness. So give the grandparents your favorite table setting, and the little ones something a bit more colorful and kid-friendly. They’re bound to play with their food eventually, and you won’t have to worry about chipped dishes.
