b. How to book your remote residential or business interior design Service
All remote interior design Services must be booked online using an online booking tool via the IKEA U.S. website. Your booking will not be confirmed until the fee is paid. If Your fee is not paid within twenty-four (24) hours of booking, then Your booking will be automatically cancelled and the time slot will be released (the “Fee).

· Business Customers can book appointments at: https://www.ikea.com/us/en/appointment/ibn/
c. How will Your remote interior design Service appointment(s) work?
Once the applicable fee is paid in full and Your booking is confirmed, an assigned interior designer (“Designer”) will then contact you by e-mail to provide you with a link to complete a required online survey and to provide measurements and/or floor plans that must be completed a minimum of two (2) business days prior to your first appointment. Providing images of the room is optional. This information will be used to help the assigned Designer prepare for Your first appointment.
d. Miscellaneous
i. If Your survey questions, photos, and/or measurements are not submitted to the Designer in a timely manner at least two (2) business days prior to your first appointment (or Your submission is incomplete), then IKEA reserves the right to cancel your appointment or the Designer may request that You reschedule your appointment.
ii. All interior design appointments will take place remotely through BOKKA (an IKEA online platform) for the first appointment, and then Microsoft Teams for Your second and third appointments.
iii. Your initial consultation (first meeting) will be through BOKKA (up to 60 minutes maximum).
iv. During Your second meeting via Microsoft Teams, the Designer will present among other things, a mood board, a floor plan (birds-eye-view) based on your exact specifications, and also serve as an opportunity for customer feedback and input.
v. During Your third meeting via Microsoft Teams, the Designer will present a final design proposal that includes detailed drawings, a product list, sample finishes. Finally, your Designer will introduce you to an IKEA sales support specialist.
2. CUSTOMER RESPONSIBILITIES
a. You are responsible to complete the following: 1) required online survey that will be e-mailed to the email address you used to book Service and fill it in at least two (2) business days prior to Your first appointment; 2) to provide accurate measurements for your room(s) and/or floor plans; and 3) to show up on time for your scheduled appointment(s).
b. You are not authorized to record any virtual appointment or to use automated transcription tools during appointments. However, in the event that a customer has a need for a reasonable accommodation related to accessibility, IKEA can arrange for an accommodation at no additional charge to you so long as You provide your Designer with notice.
3. COST BASIS, APPOINTMENT CHANGES, AND NO REFUND POLICY
a. What does Your Fee for these remote interior design Services include?
A Service is charged on a per room design basis and will include three (3) appointments (that consist of 1) an initial meeting, 2) a second meeting, and 3) a third and final meeting). During your final meeting you will be presented with one (1) final design option. Any additional options, additional room designs, or desired revisions to Your one (1) final design after your third and final appointment must be arranged directly with the Designer and are subject to availability (“Additional Appointments”). Any such Additional Appointments will be subject to an additional cost of $50 USD per additional design option.
b. What is the refund policy for these Services?
Your Fee for any confirmed Service is nonrefundable except as set forth below. In no circumstance will a refund ever be issued after Your second appointment. Except and only in the following limited circumstances may a refund be issued:
i. Cancelation prior to your first appointment start time: You utilize the cancellation link including your confirmation email prior to Your first appointment date and complete your request to cancel utilizing the link provided.
ii. Your Designer needs to cancel, and You cannot agree on a new appointment time: If Your appointment is canceled by a Designer and You and the Designer cannot mutually agree to a new rescheduled appointment date and time.
iii. A free planning Service is More Appropriate Prior to the end of Your first Appointment: If a Designer determines on or before the end of Your first appointment that a free planning service offered by IKEA is more appropriate than a paid Service (and You agree with that determination).
c. What happens if You miss Your scheduled appointment?
We understand that unexpected things come up no matter the best made plans. If you are a “no show” to Your first appointment, a Designer will reach out to reschedule at a mutually agreed upon date and time. If you are a “no show” to your second or third and final appointment, a Designer will attempt to contact You via email to reschedule in a two (2) week period.
d. What happens if Your Designer needs to cancel or reschedule?
IKEA reserves the right to cancel or reschedule Your appointments. We will make reasonable efforts to provide advanced notice to You, although there may be occasions where that is not always feasible. In the event of any need to cancel and reschedule by Your Designer, You will be offered the option of confirming a new appointment date (or may be issued a full refund if a new date cannot be mutually agreed upon).
4. CONSUMER NOTICE
a. On occasion, Your design appointments may be joined by an additional Designer or supervisor for quality assurance and training purposes. For example, a Designer supervisor may join to assess the overall quality and progress of a scheduled design appointment, or a new Designer may join the call solely to observe and aid their own training and development.
b. Please note that Designers cannot create or recommend custom, hacked, modified, or third-party solutions. Your Designer is limited to proposing solutions that include active IKEA furniture and product ranges that are designed for their intended use only.
