How it Works
Get your to-do's done!
Step 1: Book Assembly Service by Taskrabbit in-store or online during your checkout process.
Step 2: Check your e-mail for a message from Taskrabbit that includes next steps, account verification, and assignment of a Tasker, an independent contractor, for your assembly service.
Step 3: Chat with your Tasker to confirm your assembly service date. A representative 18 years or older should be present for when the Tasker arrives at your home or office to complete the assembly.
Step 4: Enjoy your assembled furniture!

Booking options
In store with a co-worker
Beginning November 11, 2024 in select markets, pay before the Task begins! Pre-pay in store while booking.
While purchasing your IKEA items: When shopping in-store, connect with a co-worker Taskrabbit Assembly in store while ordering your items.
After purchasing your IKEA items: Whether you’re picking up a Click and Collect order or you already have your items at home, you can still book assembly through a co-worker in store!
By purchasing product assembly by Taskrabbit, the assembly vendor, and paying, you direct IKEA to share your personal data with Taskrabbit, for the purpose of providing the assembly service. In doing so, you authorize Taskrabbit to use your data to either verify your existing account or create a new Taskrabbit account on your behalf. Personal Data shared with Taskrabbit and associated with your account will be governed by Taskrabbit’s Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
You will receive confirmation and next steps from Taskrabbit following your order.

You can select the IKEA products you want to be assembled and pre-pay during checkout. You will receive confirmation and next steps from Taskrabbit following your order. After-purchase with Taskrabbit
Already have your IKEA purchase at home? No problem! You can book assembly directly through Taskrabbit.
Pay once you're satisfied! Once the task is complete, you will be charged through your Taskrabbit account.
Good-to-know
- Once you pre-pay for your assembly service by Taskrabbit, check your e-mail for a message from Taskrabbit that includes next steps, account verification, and assignment of a Tasker, an independent contractor, for your assembly service. Failure to communicate with Tasker regarding your assembly service date and time confirmation and related transaction logistics may result in your assembly service being delayed, rescheduled, or canceled in Taskrabbit’s sole discretion.
- The service includes assembly according to instructions and installation of any tip-over restraints for safety purposes.
- A representative 18 years or older should be present for when the Tasker arrives at your home or office to complete the assembly.
- Assembly does not include the removal of packaging waste or disposal.
- Packages must be placed in the room where you want each finished item to be.
- Assembly by Taskrabbit excludes electrical, plumbing, and kitchen and bath installation.
- Pair assembly service with IKEA delivery service and/or furniture removal service for even more convenience.
- If you cancel or reschedule your assembly service within twenty-four (24) hours of your confirmed service date and time, you may be charged the $52 minimum assembly fee.
- Taskrabbit is an online platform that connects independent contractors (Taskers) to those who need help with their projects at home. All bookings via Taskrabbit, as well as your tasks, are subject to its terms and conditions, as well as its privacy policy.
