IKEA recalls MELINA Roman blind due to strangulation hazard
07/31/2009
August 2009 – June 2010
If you have a MELINA roman blind, please bring it back to your local IKEA store for a full refund.
Exposed inner cords on the back of the blind can possibly present a strangulation hazard to young children. The name MELINA appears on a white label attached to the top of the blind.
To reduce the risk of entanglement or strangulation always keep cords out of reach of young children, install safety devices provided that reduce the access to cords, and move cots and furniture that children could climb on away from blinds.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. For additional information, call IKEA toll-free at: (888) 966-4532.
