IKEA recalls KARLSTAD sofa-bed mattresses and seat cushions

IKEA recalls KARLSTAD sofa-bed mattresses and seat cushions used as mattresses for violation of the federal mattress flammability Standard.

If you have a KARLSTAD sofa-bed purchased between November 2008 and June 2009 please contact Customer Services toll-free at (888) 966-4532 anytime or visit the Exchange and Returns Department at your local IKEA store to arrange free installation of a replacement mattress and seat cushions.

Due to a production error the mattress and seat cushions intended to be used as a mattress of a small number of KARLSTAD sofa-beds do not meet the mandatory federal open flame standard for mattresses.The affected sofa-beds have date stamps 0845 through 0927 (YYWW) and were produced by IKEA supplier #20789. The date stamp and supplier number is located on a label attached to the underside of the sofa-bed frame.

No other KARLSTAD products are affected.
