What spare parts can I get from IKEA and how much do they cost?

There are three types of spare parts in IKEA: small spare parts, bigger spare parts and spare parts for home appliances. Prices depend on which spare part you need.

If you’d like to renew, improve and/or pro-long the life of your IKEA products, you can get the spare parts you need online and in IKEA stores. This is how you can identify the different types of spare parts and how much they cost:
  1. Small spare parts
Small spare parts are essential pieces you need to assemble your IKEA furniture and/or products. These include screws, knobs, plugs and other such fittings. Small spare parts have a 6-8 digit identification code (also known as a spare part number) and are listed in the first few pages of the products’ assembly instructions.
You can find the spare part number by checking:
  • the assembly instructions included with the product. If you don’t have the physical copy of the assembly instructions, you can find it online by searching for the product on the IKEA website. Then, go to the product page and click Product details, then Assembly and documents to access the assembly instructions.
  • your Purchase history. If your purchase is linked with your IKEA Family account, log in to your account and go to the Purchases page where you will find the "Order spare parts" button. Once you click the button, you will be able to access a list of products with available spare parts and the spare part number you need.
The “Order spare parts” button will not appear if:
  • the product does not contain any spare parts in the packaging
  • the product is out-of-stock or has been discontinued
  • you have cancelled or returned the order
You can get small spare parts completely free of charge.
  1. Bigger spare parts
Bigger spare parts are large furniture components such as side panels or drawer fronts. They are included in the box when you buy an IKEA product. Bigger spare parts do not have a 6-8 digit identification or spare part number.
What's the cost
The cost of bigger spare parts are dependent on the part you need. Stock is subject to availability.

  1. Spare parts for home appliances
You can get spare parts, replacement parts and additional parts for home appliances if they are part of the product you have purchased. This includes IKEA home appliances, and home appliances from others brands ie. Electrolux that are sold in IKEA. You can find the manufacturer name, model, and serial number on the rating plate, usually located inside the appliance.
Here is a list of IKEA home appliances that you can get parts for if they are included in the original product:
  • Cookers/ovens/microwaves/kitchen extractor hoods
  • Washing and drying appliances
  • Electric coffee makers and teapots
  • Refrigerators/freezers
  • Dishwashers
Gaskets for IKEA mixers are not sold as a spare part. This is because they are made of ceramic and need to be replaced by a certified professional. Plus, gaskets for IKEA mixers have a very long lifespan that is often longer than the warranty for the mixer itself.
For non-IKEA home appliances, here are some of the spare parts you can order if they are included in the original product:
  • Parts for cooling appliances: door handles, door hinges, trays, baskets, and door gaskets
  • Parts for dishwashers: door hinge and seals, other seals, spray arms, drain filters, interior racks, plastic peripherals like baskets and lids
  • Parts for washing machines: door, door hinge and seals, other seals, door locking assembly, and plastic peripherals such as detergent dispenser.
