How does ‘Full interior design service’ for my home or business work?
This guide explains the end-to-end process for our most comprehensive home design service, covering your two meetings and the final deliverables.
- Before booking. To prepare, think about your style, take photos of your room, and get accurate measurements. Our measuring guide and inspiration gallery are great resources.
- Book your appointment. Use our online calendar to book your first of two online meetings. The service fee is paid online at the time of booking. You will receive a confirmation email with all the details for your appointment. If you are a business customer and need help with your booking, you can also send an email to remote.businessplanning.us@ikea.com
- Reschedule or cancel (if needed). If you need to change your appointment, please give us as much notice as possible. To cancel, use the link in your confirmation email. To reschedule, please contact us at: remote.businessplanning.us@ikea.com
- Confirm your project details. This step is critical. You must share your completed questionnaire, room dimensions, and photos within 48 hours of booking. This allows your designer to prepare for your consultation. If this information is not received within 48 hours, your appointment will be cancelled.
- Create your design over two meetings. This service includes two dedicated online meetings:
a) Meeting 1 (Consultation - up to 60 mins): You and your Designer will discuss your needs and wants to create an initial concept.
b) Design phase: Your designer will then develop a detailed, fully realized project. This may take up to 4 weeks.
c) Meeting 2 (Presentation - up to 60 mins): Your designer will present the final design to you.
Please note that you can also complement the "Full interior design service" with the Decoration Service, where you will receive expert support on the final touches in your home/at your business. - Receive your detailed plan and order. After your second meeting, you will receive your complete design package. This includes:
- Mood board: A curated board to define your room's style, colors, and overall feel.
- Detailed floorplan: A precise 2D plan showing the optimal arrangement of all furniture.
