Military and NATO Discount Promo: Capture the Flag

Every year, IKEA Norfolk welcomes hundreds of new families connected to NATO and the US military. Many of them arrive from abroad, often with just a few weeks to settle into a new home and community. To better support these families, we’re launching a new promotion led by IKEA Norfolk and the RCMP.

We’re launching Capture the Flag: a targeted offer designed to help incoming NATO and US military families plan and purchase their home furnishings before they arrive in Norfolk.
Through the RCMP, these customers can:
  • US IKEA Family membership signups through the RCMP (IKEA Family memberships from other countries are not valid in the US)​
  • Remote planning and purchase services through the US RCMP​
  • Set up of home delivery and assembly services before moving to Norfolk​
  • Buy Back Service, with information on which products they purchase are currently eligible​
  • US Military only: Offer 15% military discount during May 1st – 31st, using Sheer ID​
  • NATO only: $100 US IKEA gift card per every $1,000 spent with the RCMP during May 1st – May 31st
 For US military families, this includes a 15% military discount from May 1st – May 31st (using Sheer ID).
For NATO families, this includes an offer to receive $100 US IKEA gift card per every $1,000 spent from May 1st – May 31st.
How it works (in short):
RCMP will manage the full sales process using a dedicated phone line (+1-410-657-1267) that works for customers both inside and outside the US. Orders can be placed up to 120 days in advance, with logistics handled through existing store and distribution flows.
Overall, this will help customers feel at home faster, while strengthening the connection between IKEA and the military and NATO community.
