IKEA Business Network Terms and Conditions

Hej and welcome to IKEA!

Thank you for creating an IKEA Business Network Account (the “Account")! Through the Account, your company will have access to relevant services that may support its business, such as purchase history and communication with the latest news, trends, and inspiration for your business.

Effective Date: October 30, 2023

         1. The legal bits

These Terms and Conditions (the “Terms and Conditions”) form a legally binding contract between the authorized individual or company registering for an Account (the “Company”) and IKEA North America Services, LLC (“IKEA”, “we”, “us”). The Terms and Conditions govern the Company’s access to and use of the Account and its services.

THIS ACCOUNT AND RELATED SERVICES ARE NOT INTENDED FOR USE OR ACCESS BY ANYONE UNDER THE AGE OF 18. IF YOU ARE UNDER THE AGE OF 18, YOU MAY NOT USE OR ACCESS THE WEBSITE OR PROVIDE US WITH ANY PERSONALLY IDENTIFIABLE INFORMATION. You may not use the Account and may not accept these Terms and Conditions if (1) you are not of legal age to form a binding contract with IKEA, or (2) you are not an authorized individual to act on behalf of the Company.

IKEA may, in its sole discretion at any time:

(a)   modify these Terms and Conditions (e.g. in case of changes to applicable laws, changes in services and features offered by IKEA, or when we introduce new services); or

(b)   remove or edit content, modify, suspend, or discontinue the availability of any features or services, and or decide to charge (or not to charge) a fee for any services under the Account.

As of the effective date of these Terms and Conditions, there is no cost associated with signing up for an Account.

IKEA reserves the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time without notice, and such changes shall be deemed effective immediately upon posting of the modified Terms and Conditions. You should regularly review these Terms and Conditions to ensure that you are aware of, understand and accept any changes made.  Your continued use of the Account following the posting of changes to these Terms and Conditions will indicate your acceptance of those changes.

While we will always do our best to support your needs, please note that we do not warrant the products or services you purchase from IKEA are suitable for, categorized as, or otherwise certified as commercial-grade/contract-grade furniture appropriate for your commercial business use. Buyers should review individual certifications and related tests for each desired product and exercise discretion with respect to which products are safe for the intended use. For the avoidance of doubt, all purchases are subject to the IKEA Returns and Exchanges Policy

IKEA is a limited liability company, with a registered address at:

420 Alan Wood Road
Conshohocken, PA 19428

In case the Company wants to share feedback, comments, or questions regarding the Account– please contact our Customer Support Center at 1-888-888-4532.

       2. The Account

The Account enables business customers to purchase products and services for business purposes and to access and use a number of features and services intended for business customers. IKEA Business Network has been specifically designed for micro and small businesses.

In order to connect the Company’s purchases to the Account, the Company must identify itself during the checkout process. For online purchases, this is done by inserting the unique IKEA Business Network card number in the requested field during online checkout, and for purchases in store, by scanning the digital IKEA Business Network card during your check-out. It is important to remember this because unfortunately, due to technical limitations, we cannot make any retroactive registrations of purchases.

The Company must create an Account by providing accurate, current, and complete information, including the company name, address and email address, and undertakes to keep your Account updated of any changes to such information. You can also add your preferred store, which we may then use to send you information about local store events and other relevant information connected to that store.

Company can choose to have several users and administrators connected to the Account. All administrators have full administrative rights to the Account including the possibility to invite other Company users to access the Account and delete such users, if and when needed.

By registering an Account, the Company confirms that the individual submitting the registration has the authority to bind the Company and that the Company is eligible for registering an Account. The Company also represents that it has all requisite rights, power, and authority to enter into and perform its obligations under these Terms and Conditions.

The Account is non-transferable and may be used and accessed only by the Company, directly and exclusively for its own business purposes. The Company acknowledges that the Account may under no circumstances be used for the reselling of IKEA products or services to third parties.

Creating an Account means that IKEA will store and process personal data of the individual administrating the Account (and or any authorized Account user) on behalf of the Company. You hereby confirm that you will make any and all such individuals aware of the content of the IKEA Privacy Policy.

        3.  Administration of the account

The individual who first creates the Company’s Account will automatically become an administrator of the Account and the Company must always have at least one user with administrative rights. The administrator will be able to (i) invite other employees of the Company to become users and administrators of the Account, (ii) delete individual users; (iii) delete or change the settings for the Account (e.g. select preferences, upgrade to or downgrade from the IKEA Business Network) and (iv) see the full purchase history of the Company, including the name of individuals who have placed an order. A regular user can only see its own activities on the Account.

Each user associated with the Account will receive a digital IKEA Business Network card (the “Card”) that shall be used to identify the Company as an IKEA Business Network customer. The Card is not transferable and can only be used by the person whose signature is on the card. The Card is not a debit card, credit card or guarantee card.

The administrator is responsible for ensuring that all users of the Account are employed by the Company or otherwise authorized to act on behalf of the Company.

IKEA will store and process personal data of the individual users of the Account. The Company hereby confirms that it will make any such individuals aware of the content of the IKEA Privacy Policy

        4. Acceptable Use

Company may only use your Account for business purposes, such as to make purchases, to review purchase history, to use planning tools, and or to communicate with IKEA. You must not misuse or tamper with any features and services that you get access to through the Account (e.g. hack, introduce viruses, trojans, worms, logic bombs or other technologically harmful material, carry out denial of service attacks or any other technologically harmful practice or materials) or otherwise interfere with IKEA’s technologies or functionalities.

Company is also responsible for all activities that occur under your Account including maintaining the confidentiality of your password and any user passwords, respectively. If you believe that an unauthorized person has access to your password and/or the Account, you must contact us immediately and change any compromised passwords.

Please also remember to log out from your Account after the end of each session. IKEA will not be responsible for any loss or damage arising out of your failure to comply with these Terms and Conditions.

       5. Copyright, trademarks and patents

All title, ownership, rights, and intellectual property rights in and to the Account, ikea.com and the IKEA brand shall remain with either IKEA or its franchisor, Inter IKEA Systems B.V.

The use of the Account does not give the Company the right to use or reproduce any of our copyrighted materials, trademarks, service marks, patents or other proprietary rights or materials. The Company also acknowledges and agrees that it will not use its relationship with IKEA for any marketing or financing purposes, or as reference in any Company presentations or press releases, or in any way utilize (either on the Internet or in any other way communicate to the public) any trade name, trademark, service mark, logo or other distinctive brand feature of IKEA, Ingka Group or Inter IKEA Group.

       6.  Termination and suspension of the Account
