Wood dowels brokeCourtWood dowels broke when having to stabilize the legs of the chair ahead of the final fitting of all the screws. So don’t know how to fix the stability properly.1
Defective paintJackieWe bought these same stools several years ago, and then 4 more recently. We received them last week and it looks like they only received one coat of thin paint. You can see the brown wood through the paint. It doesn’t appear there is any coating on them either. They are very matte. Super disappointed. Customer service said they’d at least send a replacement part for seat, but then e-mailed to say they were not sending anything. Do not buy. 1

I noticed that after Covid, IKEA’s quality has gone downhill tremendously and the prices went up big time.1

Choose the right bar stool height

Choose the right height of your bar stool so that it is comfy to sit on, offers plenty of leg room and is proportionate with the rest of your space. Kitchen counters and counter-height tables typically range from 34-36" from the floor. To find the perfect stool for your counter, look for a seat height of 23-26". Tabletops or counters that measure between 39-42" from the floor, are typically classified as "bar height", and require a seat height of 28-30".
