IKEA 40th Anniversary Vote for Impact

When we dream the possibilities, amazing things can happen. That’s why we partner year-round with six inspiring organizations that help make life better for the many. As part of our 40th anniversary celebration, we’re excited to do something extra.

Through our Vote for Impact campaign, you can help decide which organization will receive an additional $40,000 donation. Read their stories, choose a cause that speaks to you and vote online by 1/31. Let’s make more dreams possible – together

American Red Cross

Disasters — whether a home fire, hurricane or flood — can upend lives in an instant. In the wake of a crisis, no two roads to recovery are alike. Gifts to American Red Cross Financial Assistance provide critical funds to survivors of disasters big and small, helping people overcome barriers they face at different stages of recovery and putting the power in their hands to meet their own greatest needs.

With this support, the Red Cross will provide this vital relief, ensuring families and communities are empowered to meet their most pressing needs.

Family Promise

Every child deserves a safe place to call home and a warm bed of their own. Yet for 2.5 million children experiencing homelessness in the US, that basic need is just a dream. At Family Promise, we work to turn that dream into a reality by providing shelter, housing, and essential services to families across the country experiencing homelessness.

With support from Vote for Impact, it would allow us to expand our services and create more innovative housing solutions that incorporate trauma-informed design, bringing joy and comfort to families in need. Help us transform lives, one family at a time!

Good360

With 12.5 million Americans—including 1 in 15 children—lacking a bed, the need for essential furnishings is urgent and widespread. In the wake of disaster, this need is compounded and access to basics like a warm bed, a table, or a lamp can restore dignity and reignite hope.  Good360’s innovative model acts as a force multiplier, connecting corporations, nonprofits, and community organizations to maximize impact across every stage of recovery—from response to rebuild, to rehoming.

With support from Vote for Impact it would allow us to expand Good360’s distribution network, delivering essential goods to those most in need, helping them restore their ability to dream and access safety, comfort and hope in the aftermath of hardship or disaster.

Rainbow Railroad

Rainbow Railroad is a global nonprofit helping LGBTQI+ people escape violence and persecution to find safety and freedom – supporting over 26,000 individuals since 2006—but the need is surging. In 2025 alone, we expect over 20,000 requests for help, each representing someone seeking dignity and a chance to live authentically.

In the U.S., our Communities of Care is a grassroots initiative mobilizing LGBTQI+ volunteers and allies to support asylum seekers and refugees with mentorship, emotional care, and access to housing, healthcare, and legal aid.

With support from Vote for Impact, it would enable us to expand our Housing & Livelihood Assistance Fund, providing safe interim housing for newcomers. Together, we can help LGBTQI+ refugees not just survive—but truly find home.

Save the Children

Children living in poverty can’t achieve their dreams without opportunity – and Head Start delivers it. For 60 years, this essential program has provided early learning, health services and community resources to help kids build confidence and lay the foundation for lifelong success.

Save the Children has led Head Start programs in rural America since 2011, giving thousands of children a chance to dream bigger. Federal funding supports the program, but it can’t meet every need.

With support from Vote for Impact, we can close that gap, so kids grow up healthy, educated and safe, regardless of their family’s income. Let’s invest in a future built on care, inclusion and possibility – turning everyday dreams into lasting change.

The Trevor Project

The Trevor Project is the leading suicide prevention and crisis intervention nonprofit organization for LGBTQ+ young people. We provide free, confidential, and critical support to LGBTQ+ young people 24/7, year-round in the US, Mexico, and Latin America.

Additionally, through peer support, research, advocacy, and public education programs, our vision is to create a world where all LGBTQ+ young people see a bright future for themselves.  With support from Vote for Impact, we can expand our support to ensure the safety, hope, and dreams of LGBTQ+ young people through our crisis hotline and TrevorSpace - a safe, moderated social networking platform where users can connect with peers, discuss their identities, find support, and build community.

Together, we can dream of and work towards a world where all LGBTQ+ young people have the opportunity to openly dream for themselves.
