The layer-glued bent wood frame gives the armchair a comfortable resilience, making it perfect to relax in.

The high back gives good support for your neck.

A range of various seat cushions makes it easy to change the look of your POÄNG and your living room.

To sit even more comfortably and relaxed, you can use the armchair together with POÄNG footstool.

Hillared cover is woven from cotton and polyester – with viscose and linen added. The durable cover has a clear structure, yet is soft and comfortable at the same time.

What is layer-glued wood?

With layer-glued wood it’s possible to create flexible and extra strong constructions with curved shapes, like frames for armchairs. The secret is a technique where many layers of thin wood veneer are glued together and then pressed into the desired shape. We often use wood like birch, beech, ash and even bamboo – and strive to use the raw material as smartly and efficiently as possible to avoid waste. Just like solid wood, it has natural variations in structure and colour.
