With some soft, fluffy pillows as back support, you easily transform this day-bed into a comfortable sofa or chaise longue.

With this day-bed you quickly and easily create space for overnight guests. Just lift and pull out the bed base and you get a double bed in no time.

    The day-bed is not to be used as two single beds, it should only be used as a double bed when the bed base is pulled out.

GoodDiniI am writing this review after using this bed for about 4-6 months. There are both pros and cons using the Fyresdal. Pros: - Having the choice to change the size from twin to queen is really great. My room is quite small so it is great to have that choice. - Comfortable. I’m a 20 year old woman so sleeping on a 12cm spring mattress when the Fyresdal is in its queen size hasn’t done much damage. However, I foresee myself purchasing another mattress to make it thicker as this will not be good for my back when I get older. Cons: - 1 week ago, I accidentally kicked the metal frame when it was in twin mode and my small toe still feels numb. Did I dislocate something? Maybe. Should I see the doctor instead of writing it down in my Ikea review? Definitely. Will I do that? No. - It is not comfortable to sit on as a couch unless you get multiple pillows, which I did not do. Long story short, this is a good bed for saving space. I bought it for that reason and it has served me well. I did wish I bought the Brimnes instead as I would have not kicked the metal frame and my toe would still be fine. But the metal build is still going strong, which might be harder to say for wooden stuff from Ikea.4
