Make Home Count with IKEA’s first of four launches, featuring new 2019 IKEA Catalogue

With a particular focus on the living room, the September launch will be further supported by the first of two IKEA Catalogues, made available to the public today.
Life at Home: Celebrating different needs for organising your home
Through insights presented in IKEA’s 2017 Life at Home Report about people’s needs and dreams for their homes around the world, we know that having “too much stuff” is the single biggest cause of stress in the home. Slightly over half of Singaporeans surveyed (54%) said that their main household arguments were over what constituted a “mess” in the home.
The Singapore version of the report also revealed that 1 in 3 Singaporeans feel pressured by society to live minimally. These common tensions and valuable insights have fueled the solutions and inspirations within the 2019 Catalogue.
Introducing seven homes, each explores the story behind different lives, but all highlight the needs people have while living under one roof. From a home showing you how to create a calming sanctuary to escape the stresses of city living, to another that addresses the desire to tell individual stories by displaying personal treasures at home, the 2019 IKEA Catalogue invites the world to an “open house” filled with inspiration for everyday life.
“By addressing the challenges of real life, whether through locally relevant home furnishing solutions in our room settings at our stores or inspiring stories through the IKEA Catalogue, we hope to inspire our customers to make life at home better,” said Mike King, Deputy Managing Director at IKEA Southeast Asia.
A new approach to delivering the Catalogue in Singapore
Conscious of evolving customer behaviour, IKEA will conduct several tests with its Catalogue in order to find better ways to reach, interact and inspire people. IKEA Singapore is one of the selected markets globally that will explore how different methods of distributing the IKEA Catalogue content can help them reach and inspire customers in an impactful and meaningful manner. Two IKEA Catalogues will be released; one at the end of August 2018, and one in February 2019. Other significant changes include fewer pages, a new size and better paper quality.
Customers can view the 2019 IKEA Catalogue from Thursday, 30 August 2018 in the following ways:
