Three living rooms that say: Welcome!
Greeting a guest can be done in many ways. Here are three living rooms that each have their special way – and style – to offer a heart-warming, welcoming atmosphere.

All of the family says hi
There’s a guest in the house! Involve the household and make it a happening for everyone.
Playful and personal
Let the kids join in. Make portraits and little goodie bags for a playful reception. Chances are your guest will feel like family right away.
A time of giving
Greeting with a gift is a reliable way to get off to a good start. When it’s the season for giving – and your entire home looks gift-wrapped – there’s all the more reason.
Greet with a treat
Take the opportunity to make your welcome truly memorable. Get your guests in the holiday mood with individual gifts, as personal as your style.
Make preparations (but don’t overdo them)
Once you turn your living room into a makeshift bedroom, it can feel overly private. Therefore it can be a good idea to prepare for the night, but leave the last bits to your guest. That way you can still use the sofa bed as seating during the evening.
Pile up the welcome
Crisp bed linen and a personal batch of bathroom accessories will give your guest the best of both worlds. A sense of hotel living – exclusively populated with good friends.
We love to see our customers get creative with our products. Go for it! But please note that altering or modifying IKEA products so they can no longer be re-sold or used for their original purpose, means the IKEA commercial guarantees and your right to return the products will be lost.
