Host an autumn feast for overnight guests, part II

Limited space and guests spending the night may not seem like an ideal combination. See how you can turn the situation round, and arrange a stay that lets the festive warmth of the party linger.

Let the party furniture double as bedding

Pouffes that can be used as mattresses make excellent space-savers. Add cushions and a throw and you have a convenient sofa by day. Once it’s time for bed, they’re transformed in a flash.

Hospitality hanging from the walls

Make your guest accommodation a playful part of the decoration. Hang night kits for everyone on hooks. It saves space, makes organising night quarters easier – and the staying over a more organic part of the celebration.

Kits with benefits

Personalised night preparations continue the theme from when the guests arrived (link at bottom). A package of bedding, slippers and bathroom articles adds a hotel-like yet caring feeling.

The afterglow of a good evening

A day of festivities drawing to an end doesn’t mean the festive spirit has to. Use mood lighting and night arrangements to slow the pace, but hold on the cosy feeling it creates.
