A wild and wintry display

‘People think of vases as objects but I see a vase as an extension of the arrangement,’ says Łukasz. ‘It gives shape to the flowers so they have to work as a whole.’ For his bouquets, Łukasz mixed fresh sprigs, dried branches and tall flower stems in vases of different heights and shapes to make an interesting outline.

Make your own wreath

‘To recreate this winter wreath, start with a craft hoop and some seasonal cuttings – I chose mostly pine cones and woodland branches. Bind the cuttings together with sewing thread or cotton, and wind around the hoop to secure. Let bits stick out naturally for a wild, imperfect look,’ says Łukasz.

Hang an evergreen garland

Bind small bundles of dried foliage and winter greenery together with thread. Fix each bundle to a long length of heavy string then hang it where you like.

Fresh floral ideas

‘Flowers are a beautiful and delicate material,’ says Łukasz. ‘Working with them is like working with sculptures. At our flower shop we embrace a natural way of working. We use local, seasonal flowers. It used to be people only wanted roses; we show them there are other beautiful flowers like dahlias and poppies. And how beautiful green foliage is.’
