Is ceramic glass tempered?

Yes, the ceramic glass used for the induction, glass-ceramic and gas hobs has a special tempering designed to withstand rapid temperature changes that occur during everyday cooking.

The ceramic glass on our hobs has a clear and smooth surface that is easy to wipe clean, while at the same time it is very strong and designed to cope with daily wear and tear of heating and cooling. However, ceramic glass is not classified as safety glass, in the same way as, for example, the glass on an oven door. There can therefore be glass shards if the glass were to shatter if, for example, something heavy is dropped on it.
Please note that damage to the ceramic glass is not covered by the warranty.
