IKEA is fully committed to the Matter standard, a new unified technology that makes it easier to connect smart products across different brands.
What is Matter and what does it mean?
Matter is a shared network standard that allows smart products from different brands to communicate with one another in a simple, secure and seamless way.
You can currently try out Matter support for our DIRIGERA hub through The Workshop, an experimental test section in the IKEA Home smart app. This beta feature currently supports only light sources, including drivers. Additional product types will be added gradually.
DIRIGERA acts as a bridge for Matter. Over time, our entire range of smart products will support Matter through the DIRIGERA hub, enabling IKEA products to connect with other Matter‑compatible systems.
