Why does my mixer tap make noise?
It is perfectly normal for some high-frequency sounds to come from a mixer tap. Sometimes it is not a mixer tap itself that makes the noise, but the water pipes. In such cases, we recommend that you contact a plumbing technician who can help you further.
All IKEA mixer taps follow the same guidelines and requirements. Since July 2025, IKEA also has been Säker Vatten certified. It is normal to hear some high-frequency sounds when running water. If you experience that it sounds like a "bang" when you start or turn off the water, this may be due to the water pressure or how the installation is performed. In such cases, we always recommend that you contact a plumbing technician who can carry out a closer inspection.
