The layer-glued bent wood frame gives the armchair a comfortable resilience, making it perfect to relax in.

The high back provides good support for your neck.

A variety of seat cushion designs makes it easy to change the look of your POÄNG chair and your living room.

To sit even more comfortably and relaxed, you can use the armchair together with a POÄNG ottoman.

Hillared cover is woven from cotton and polyester – with viscose and linen added. The durable cover has a clear structure, yet is soft and comfortable at the same time.

Its like floating on airPatriciaLove the cushion, except for the thick headrest and hot texture. I am 5feet, so the headrest kept my head pushed forward in a bent position with no support for the neck. My hack was I removed the memory foam and replaced it with a thinner cushion so I can completely lean my head back. As for the seat being warm (it is summer when I bought the chair), my hack was to place a cooling blanker over it to serve as seat cover. The cheaper alternative cushion might be more breathable but this one is much thicker and more comfortable.4

What is layer-glued wood?

With layer-glued wood it’s possible to create flexible and extra strong constructions with curved shapes, like frames for armchairs. The secret is a technique where many layers of thin wood veneer are glued together and then pressed into the desired shape. We often use wood like birch, beech, ash and even bamboo – and strive to use the raw material as smartly and efficiently as possible to avoid waste. Just like solid wood, it has natural variations in structure and colour.
