I was really excited to try my new MIDDAGSMAT pan and even washed it as soon as I got home. However, when I was about to hang it to dry—since my space is quite small and I usually hang my kitchen items—I noticed there wasn’t a hole at the end of the handle. It’s the first time I’ve felt a little disappointed with an IKEA purchase. I hope you’ll consider adding a hanging hole in future designs to make it easier for those of us with limited space to store them conveniently.3

What is sol-gel ceramic non-stick coating?

Sol-gel non-stick is often called ceramic coating and is an increasingly common replacement for other non-stick coatings in frying pans. It comprises mostly of silica and is created by applying a gel-like solution to the product and drying it in an oven. The result is a hard, glossy surface with non-stick properties. Sol-gel can be produced in different colors, it withstands high heat, is easy to use and clean – and allows cooking with little or no fat.
