Keeps my back straightAileenI love that you can control the recline to a level where you're comfortable but keeps it ergonomic. I also like the lumbar support. The mesh back keeps it cool and breezy especially for warm days. It has a sleek, no fuss, not bulky design. As a short girl, I wish there was a short back, it seems so tall for me but it gets the job done for long hours at work.5
The backrest is too stiff.SeijiEven when I set the backrest adjustment to the softest setting, the resistance is still quite strong, and it pushes back immediately. Unlike what was shown in the promotional video, it's impossible to lean back and relax comfortably. At this point, I’m thinking I just have to accept that this chair is meant to keep you sitting upright all the time.1

What is polyester?

Polyester is a durable, quick-drying and insulating material that is optimal to use for textiles and as filling in pillows, quilts and furniture. The material is made from crude oil – a limited resource. Since IKEA doesn’t want to contribute to more virgin oil being used, we are now gradually switching to recycled and traceable polyester from sources like PET bottles. What’s nice is that polyester can be recycled over and over, without changing or losing its great qualities.
