IKEA collaborates with social businesses around the world to design unique products which create jobs for people that needs it the most.

This product is made by Ramesh Flowers, a social business in India which creates jobs close to home for rural women by making sustainable products from organic waste materials.

Each lampshade is unique since it’s made of banana fibers with natural color variations and is hand-braided by skilled artisans.

Provides directional light that illuminates your dining table while spreading a soft glow in the room that adds a warm welcoming atmosphere to your home.

"Being asked to develop the MÄVINN collection in collaboration with social businesses felt wonderful since each item contributes to creating jobs for people who need them the most. My design is inspired by traditional Scandinavian homes where the décor is characterized by function, simplicity and natural materials.
