You can easily aim the light where you need it because the lamp head is adjustable. For instance, you can direct the light on the book you are reading, use it as an uplight or aim it to focus on a specific area in the room.

our first ikea product. we'reNicoleour first ikea product. we're slowly building our home. ours has warm light. if you choose the smart bulb youd need a hub and a remote. just get the regular warm light, changes everything. its tall and huge, dedicate a corner for it. you need a wrench for this to be set up right lol
