Really effective window blindValuedReally love it, fantastic, keeping the hot sun out during a couple of critical hours . Protects the curtains, keeps the room from heating up, especially great for protecting the piano. The clever pulley action in the controller rod is very effective.5
Slim ShadyValuedPerfect for helping keep the room cooler in the afternoon tropical sun. Installation was challenging. The instructions show 3 different ways to do it, depending on how you mount it; we had to cut our blind, to fit inside the window alcove, and the instructions are actually odd and unclear, which is a surprise to find with IKEA. One picture especially is odd, as it is not clear which line to cut along with the scissors as shown in the illustration. I had to resort to doing careful calculations, and it was stressful (if you cut too small, you can't go back and undo it. . . ). Anyway, in practice, the controller is very clever, some sort of pulley mechanism, so a small move with the controller rod is amplified and the blond moves about four times as far. Now we have 3 of these, and will get at least one more. White color is best for reflecting away heat and light of course, and as it is opaque, it gives perfectly fine morning blackout for longer sleeping.5

Feedback on FridansMarkThey look good in the pictures. Easy to install. Hard to roll up. Easy to roll down. I’m not sure how long they’ll last (I ordered 2). They seem to not be built for regular operation. They get loose easily.3
