Product details

ORRSTA cover is woven from cotton and polyester with a light structure that makes it soft and comfortable. The yarn-dyed fabric has a tone-on-tone effect and a clean and calm look.

The cover is easy to keep clean as it is removable and machine washable.

Material

What is polyester?

Polyester is a durable, quick-drying and insulating material that is optimal to use for textiles and as filling in pillows, quilts and furniture. The material is made from crude oil – a limited resource. Since IKEA doesn’t want to contribute to more virgin oil being used, we are now gradually switching to recycled and traceable polyester from sources like PET bottles. What’s nice is that polyester can be recycled over and over, without changing or losing its great qualities.

“When designing BERGMUND chairs, we wanted to create seating for the many people, any day of the year. And as life changes, so can the covers - to fit the season, a special occasion or your mood - take your pick from the various colors and lengths. The only thing that doesn’t change is the soft, cushiony comfort and the chamfered legs that allow the cover to fall smoothly over the frame. We hope these chairs allow you and your friends to relax and stay comfy a bit longer."
