Giving your desk a refresh is always a good idea. Take a look at our desk organisation ideas, right in time for back-to-school season (or maybe just to unlearn an old habit). Make use of boxes, magnets and shelves to keep your desks free of clutter, so your mind’s clearer and focused on work.

 1. Make the most of your space

Add-on shelves or open cabinets come handy for storing and displaying things. Result? A neater worktop. Try using the space in the desk’s legs, if there’s any, as storage. Keep the small, easy-to-lose items in stackable and see-through boxes with lids while using the sturdy paper ones for larger items. The best thing? The desk here even grows with your child.

2. Organise your drawers

Using an insert, sort out your essentials in the drawer. If you want to find a home for your phone chargers and earbuds, try storing them out of the way using a magnetic knife rack or containers. Create a DIY calendar with some blackboard paint and tape - makes it easier to view your everyday to-do list.

3. No such thing as too much storage

If you want extra space to store almost everything, surround your desks with shelves. Don’t forget the legs too! Solid-coloured, matching boxes are great for keeping things organised while glass jars and vases can store some lovely decor items. Take the help of accessories, like a letter tray, to sort out the various things on your desk.
