What steps does IKEA recommend for care and maintenance of their rugs?
Depending on the model we have a different maintenance
In general, we recommend:
- Vacuum your rug regularly to prevent dirt and use a vacuum cleaner especially on high-pile rugs
- Turn the rugs frequently to make them last longer and prevent them from sticking to the floor.
- Direct sunlight can fade rug colors over time, use blinds or curtains to protect your rug.
- Avoid keeping rugs in high-moisture areas like bathrooms or kitchens,
- Do not machine wash.
- Do not bleach.
- Do not tumble dry.
- Do not iron.
- Do not dry clean.
