How does Living Room Storage Planning work?

The IKEA Living Room Storage Planning Service is available both in-store and online, with a session of approximately 60 minutes.

During your appointment, you will meet an IKEA living room storage specialist at your local IKEA store or online from the comfort of your home. The specialist will help you organize your living room with a tailored storage solution that fits your space, needs, and everyday life.
This is how it works:
  1. Get inspired. Spend some time browsing living room storage ideas to get inspiration.
  2. Book an appointment - You can choose to book your appointment either online or at your nearest IKEA store. A planning fee of ₹1000 applies, which is redeemable on purchases above ₹25,000.
  3. Measure your space. The IKEA planning specialist will need details about the space or room. Record measurements of height, width and depth as well as positions/dimensions of electrical outlets, doors, windows, etc.
  4. What do you need? Make a list of all your essential needs and wishes to create your dream space.
  5. Take pictures. A drawing or a photo of the space can be very useful.
  6. Need to reschedule/cancel your appointment? Follow the link in your confirmation email if you need to reschedule or cancel your planning appointment. Please do this at least 24 hours before the scheduled appointment.
  7. Discuss your dreams and wishes with an IKEA living room specialist during your appointment. You will receive a 3D plan (of your favorite articles, and not the room) and a shopping list with everything you need. The appointment will last approximately 60 minutes.
  8. Take time to assess the plan and next steps. You can make changes to the design if needed by accessing the plan that was sent to you via email.
    When you’re happy with the final plan, get connected with your assigned planner to finalize your order; or you may visit IKEA store.
