I'm unable to connect my app or phone to the TRADFRI gateway. What could be the issue?
Easily Connect Your App or Phone to the TRADFRI Gateway – Just Follow These Steps:
- Check the Power-Make sure the gateway is powered on. If not, confirm that the power cable is properly connected.
Check the Internet Connection-Ensure the gateway is connected to your home router with a cable, and that your router has internet access.
Download the App-Get the IKEA Home smart app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. The app will guide you through the setup process step by step.
Follow the In-App Instructions-The app will show you how to set up your gateway and connect your steering devices and light sources.
Scan the QR Code-Locate the QR code on the back of your gateway and scan it with your phone as instructed in the app.If scanning doesn't work, enter the gateway code manually (you'll find it on the back of the gateway).
Check Your WiFi Connection-Make sure your phone is connected to the same WiFi network that your gateway is using
Troubleshooting-If you're still having issues, try the setup steps again in the app. You can also perform a factory reset on your devices and reinstall them.
