Does IKEA use animal feathers in products?
IKEA’s pillow and bedding products may contain duck feathers. We are committed to ensuring the humane and respectful treatment of animals, and we do not tolerate any form of cruelty
IKEA supports animal husbandry practices that prioritize the well-being of animals and strictly prohibits live plucking, which is common in the goose down and feather industry.
To further reduce the risk of live plucked down and feathers entering our supply chain, we exclusively source down and feathers from ducks, as live plucking is rare in the duck industry.
Additionally, all of our suppliers undergo audits based on a strict animal welfare checklist to ensure compliance with our standards.
