    As the boundaries between our work and home lives become more blurred, it’s become harder to switch off. Our homes aren’t the haven they once were. Yet reading for just six minutes a day can be enough to reduce stress levels by more than two-thirds.

    That’s why we’ve created a series of reading spaces dedicated to pure relaxation at IKEA Wembley. Curl up with the finest fiction from The Man Booker Prize 2018 longlist. Book a slot from Tuesday 31st July – Sunday 5th August and get some well-earned time out.

    Tickets are free but places limited.

    The kids have just broken up for the summer holidays, allowing for some relaxing time for the family. To avoid the usual back to school rush, you can start preparing at your pace these little things your children will need.

    Join this handsewing workshop where we will show you how to how to hem school trousers and skirts, as well as sewing a name tag on it. All the materials will be provided on the day, as well as tea/coffee and pastries before starting.

    During the workshop, you will be invited to a 1-2-1 consultation with one of our Bedroom planners to start creating  - taking your activities, aspirations and required solutions in mind.

    It’s Time for Kräftskiva

    The “kräftskiva” (Crayfish party) is one of the most important social events in Sweden. Friends gather to feast on crayfish while wearing funny hats, singing and toasting together.

    We’re celebrating our very own Swedish Crayfish party in our Restaurant on Thursday 9th August from 5pm to 8pm, and we’d love you to join us.

    Tickets are available to purchase in store from the restaurant and Swedish Food Market:
    - IKEA FAMILY member ticket: £6.75
    - Regular ticket: £9.50
    - Child ticket (from 5 to 12 years old): £4.50
