    Celebrate Midsummer, Swedish style

    In Sweden, the highlight of June is Midsummer – a party on the longest day of the year. An evening where everyone comes together to dine on traditional dishes, drink schnapps, and dance.

    We’re celebrating with a delicious Midsummer buffet on Thursday 20th June from 5pm until 8pm, and we’d love you to join us. 

    Tickets are available to purchase in store from the customer restaurant.

  • Make Mess Matter Kids Activity

    Free for IKEA FAMILY members

    Drop-in Event between 14:00 to 15:00pm
    Location: Customer Restaurant
    Date: Friday 21 June 2019                

    Make Mess Matter provides a stress free messy play. Tailor made to your child's individuality and suitable for children of all ages and abilities, it engages the senses while developing skills and coordination through play. The aim is to 'Make Mess Matter'.

    Please dress children in clothes you don't mind getting messy and bringing a change of clothes with you is advisable.

    Kids Movie Night


    Bring your child to our supervised movie night activity in our SMÅLAND (Crèche) every Thursday at 6pm during the School summer holidays.

    27th June- Toy Story (77 minutes approx, rating PG)
    4th July- Monsters Inc (88 minutes approx rating U)
    11th July- Inside Out (91 minutes approx. ratingU)
    18th July- Life of Pets (82 minutes approx. rating U)
    25th July- The Good Dinosaur (93 minutes approx, rating PG)
    1st August- Trolls (92 minutes approx, rating U)
    8th August-A Turtles Tale- (84 minutes approx U)

    The activity is suitable for kids at the age between 3 to 10 years old. The activity is supervised by the member of our crèches. Please arrive a few minutes earlies to register your child as the movie screening will start promptly.The event is running 6 to 8pm, the movie starts approximately 6:15pm and finishes for 7:45pm.


  • We would love your unwanted textiles

    Bring us any unwanted textiles and we will pass it on to our local charity partner Barnado's Scotland. 

    Clothes, cushion covers or bedding, all textiles will be greatly appreciated. Please bring your textiles bagged to dispose them at the recycling area which is located after our checkouts in-store.  

    Items will then be sold in Barnado's local shops with all proceeds going to Barnado's charity.

    FREE Drop-in Breast feeding support Group

    Location: Customer Restaurant at the right hand side 

    Every Tuesday 10:30am – 11:30am

    Come along and join us in our customer restaurant every Tuesday where advice, information and support will be provided for women who are breastfeeding and for pregnant women who want to know more about breastfeeding.

    Breastfeeding support is provided by trained NHS Lothian peer supporters, who are volunteers, along with a partner organisation.
