First point - one which practically all other grinders on the face of the earth miss - is that the grinding mech is on the TOP of the grinder, so it doesn't drop bits everywhere when you put it down. Second, the quality of the grinding mech is excellent, and with the most delicate of twists can grind either fine or coarse depending how it's set, with the utmost of precise perfection. No more "ugh! it's all come out at once!", or, "eww I just bit on a huge unground chunk of pepper!". It really is no understatement to say it is a complete joy to use. Transformed my life, thank you Ikea. I'm literally trying to think of things to grind so I can buy another.5
