Oven BracketAnonymous reviewerBought these to see if they would work as the oven manufacturers kit were around £100 more. We have an old double oven and a hefty combination oven above a warmer drawer which had solid shelves and so wanted to sort the spacing. The shelves are flat packed, this is Ikea, arriving as 6 pieces. As said by other reviewers of fairly thin material, maybe 21 SWG for the shelves and 19 SWG for the angle brackets. The wall brackets are made of 2 parts clipped together giving ample strength to support an oven. The shelves are really there just as a physical break between sections. Ovens have their feet at the edge and so the bracket provide enough support. The only negative point would be keeping the 600mm opening if the unit was free standing, but drilling a couple of holes through the shelves and brackets for a couple of pop rivets or self tappers could deal with that. A trim for the front would be nice too.

Flimsy and poorly designedAnonymous reviewerI’m baffled that others have found this to be ‘sturdy’: even before I put the (standard single) oven on it, it was clear that it wouldn’t be able to take the weight (31kg) without bending - I could easily bend it with a slight push. And that it would be impossible to position it correctly, because I had no idea in advance just how far it would sag - and there’s no facility to adjust it once the oven is in place. It really is a terrible design. I now need to measure how far it’s sagged, then raise the whole thing by that amount (with the attendant levelling etc) and hope that it doesn’t sag yet further as time passes.

woefully weakAnonymous reviewerI've fitted several types of oven brackets in the past, I picked these up simply because I couldn't get hold of anything else locally. I wish I hadn't bothered. They are extremely weak and flexible, even with a relatively light oven being fitted, the brackets bent under the load. I would not recommend.

Holds ovens!Anonymous reviewerWhat did i want from an oven bracket, i asked myself? Sturdiness... Heat Resistance... Did it give me both? Yes it did. I cheated on IKEA and bought a Bosch oven which sat more than happily on this brace on installation, and it's very existence now totally concealed by my oven and cabinetry makes this the ultimate in unsung heroes.
