Saves electricityAnonymous reviewerLiving in an all electric flat I hated using the hob and oven as it takes forever to heat up so I bought a induction hob which I have used ever since, it was only one ring so I bought this and find it fast and efficient, it’s good and goes down to simmer and boiled water fast I’m happy with it’s speed of cooking comparable to gas, however it is a little noisy when the fan kicks in but you can’t forget you have it on, I can’t say about cooking on both rings as I tend the use a steamer for cooking veg etc but it’s good the controls are a little dark perhaps the manufacturer could make the colour of the controls a bit lighter, as people with eyesight less than perfect may find it a little dark and more awk2ard to use…
Use the power chart in the instructions - Excellent ValueAnonymous reviewerRE: reviews here about dual power. I cut the chart out of the instructions about how power is distributed between the two hobs and stuck it to the inside of a cupboard. I've found staying within/below those limits it won't cycle from one pan to the other.
This hob performs better than my fitted one by a German manufacturer. It's very speedy.
The only downside is the lack of a timer which my old single portable hob from Ikea featured.
DisappointingAnonymous reviewerUnfortunately, like other customers have experienced it, despite following the instructions as soon as I try to turn both zones on, the other one switches off. Now I have a dual zone hob but in reality, only one zone works at the time.

Awful for 2 cooking rings as only one zone works reliable Anonymous reviewerAs everyone says almost impossible to get both cooking zones operating at the same time despite implementing the instructions about power management implicitly and having both rings on low settings it still cuts out one of them. Very, very frustrating.
I can’t believe IKEA is still selling this faulty product when it does not perform as promised. Obviously a big fault with over sensitivity of power management feature.
Just don’t buy if you need 2 cooking zones.
Both zones not working togetherAnonymous reviewerThis is the 2nd Tillreda hob as the first was unable to run both zones at the same time. The 2nd is exactly the same- soon as i put power on both only one works, even is zone 1 is on a low power level, soon as i select the other zone the first one goes back to 0. Complete rubbish, not fit for purpose. Tried unplugging for 30mins, checked Pans are induction compatible, but nothing. Not going to bother with a 3rd time, might just get 2 singles.
2 Zones don't work simultaneouslyAnonymous reviewerIt’s a bit inconsistent in use. I bought this expecting to be able to run both hobs at the same time (within the combined power limits), but more often than not, turning on the second hob switches the first one off, even when both are set low. It does work occasionally, just not reliably, which makes it feel quite similar to using a single hob.

Cooking uselessAnonymous reviewerI needed the 2 x hobs that are supposed to work simultaneously (up to certain combined power levels) On odd occasions it works. Usually, attempts to run both hobs at the same time fail. Which ever second plate you activate will switch off the other one, even when setting both power levels at their lowest. I might as well as bought the single hob for half the price.

Problem with both hobs at same timeAnonymous reviewerSometimes they work together, but mostly they won't. Not the pans, both work independently on each area. Not the power settings even if both are set at low power levels. The instructions clearly state both can be used at the same time. On the extremely rare occasion they do work together it is very good however. Can only give it one star, we bought it for two hobs at the same time, to work like this all the time.
Impossible to use as intendedAnonymous reviewerThere might be a fault in electrical installation, but every time I tried to use two plates simultaneously, the one that was already on - switched off. Which was a shame, because I had such high hopes for it. Otherwise, it was easy to install (just plug it in) and operate (as long as you remember to switch off accidental touch lock).
As good as a fitted oneAnonymous reviewerThis portable induction has saved our meals during renovations and has functioned just as well as our full sized fitted one. A little noisy but really not that problematic as it does the job very efficiently with great power.
