Poor quality for the priceAnonymous reviewerPurchased this on Saturday, looked fine at first. Oiled it with Ikea brand oil and then washed in the sink with a sponge after leaving the oil to soak in. As soon as this comes into contact with water the surface becomes really rough and small wooden splinters appear all over, like rough sawn wood. I haven't even used it yet but I'm afraid to as you can literally rub these fine spinters off with your hand. I don't want them getting in my food. Maybe a bad batch but now as its opened, oiled and washed I probably can't return. Previously had one of the cheaper Ikea boards with no issues, just wanted a change. 1

The description did not add that the board also had a round hole at one end, presumably for hanging purposes, which was obscured by packaging. This may deter some purchasers who want a full board to prevent leakages etc.5
