Product details
Very hygienic because the surface is dense and completely non-porous and dirt simply run off it.
Can take tough everyday use as it is both stain- and scratch-resistant and even red wine, coffee and heavy pans leave no marks.
You’re free to install the sink with the drainer to the left or right because there are 2 semi-drilled tap holes under the sink, one on each side.
This sink has a sloping drainboard, so that excess water from dishes flows back into the bowl.
The 1½ bowl sink offers great convenience. For instance, if the bigger bowl is being used for washing dishes, the smaller bowl is handy for rinsing vegetables or doing other tasks that require water.

Any sink should be able to withstand normal use like this, but when I tried to claim via the 25 year guarantee I was told it wasn’t covered as this was ‘accidental damage.’ Absolute nonsense, as I’ve drained pasta and potatoes umpteen times and never had an issue. Given the weird dimensions and utter faff to get it fitted I now have to buy the same rubbish again, as it’s easier than altering my worktop. This time I’ll buy the black one, as the white ones is impossible to keep clean, and the staining makes it look very grubby. Very disappointed in IKEA.

Should have got the black oneAnonymous reviewerAs others have said, the white one is just horrendous to keep looking clean. It stains really easily and I mean easily.
We are going to have to swap it out after a couple of years due to this issue.
Unfortunately I can’t find a stainless steel equivalent that will fit the cut out from IKEA.
Don’t really want to spend another £265 on the black version only to find issues with it too.
Very frustrating and disappointing, really not what I expected from IKEA as all their other items have been fantastic and used them for years.

not fit for purposeAnonymous reviewerit stains too easily with normal use and cleaning products. The use manual instructs to clean it only with dishwashing products, which is not a standard kitchen cleaning procedure.
To IKEA's designers: You should be more realistic in choosing the materials for your products. This design is naive. I challenge you to inform the cleaning company, "This skin is a special one from IKEA, and you have to use a different product to clean it."
The sink is too deep and the drain collides with the drawer underneath, we had to cut the metal to close the drawer.
The Customer Service answer was, "It's a normal tear and wear."
IKEA should be ashamed to sell this product.

Why oh why did I choose this!Anonymous reviewerHaving had a black sink in my previous kitchen with no issues I chose a black one at double the price hoping that it would be as good if not better! How wrong. Within a couple of days the faults appeared and IKEA offered a replacement or a refund. I chose the former only to find the finish to be worse so I returned it and got “compensation “. I have kept the original one which, after just two weeks, is showing marks despite following cleaning instructions to the letter. It has spoilt my whole enjoyment of my new kitchen. No, I do not recommend this black sink at all.
DisappointedAnonymous reviewerI really liked the design and look of the sink and the white composite material. However there are numerous flaws. As others have said the surface stains with any liquid that isn’t clean water and it does NOT wipe off easily. I have found filling the sink with water and a drop of bleach is the only effective way get it back to white and even then it’s not perfect. Plus I live in a hard water area so limescale
Deposits have collected at the base of the tap and around the edge of the dividing wall between the two basins. Haven’t worked out how to remove these yet but will probably have to be a strong product which is what I hoped to avoid. The worst problem however is the flatness of the edges - I loved the look but should have known that the result is constant splashing of water onto the surrounding wooden worktop. As time goes on the worktop will be damaged so I’m thinking I’ll have to replace the sink sooner rather than later.
'Drying' board needs more drainage channels.Anonymous reviewerI'm not one for writing negative reviews. In fact, I pride myself in being a bit of a good review fairy, but I feel this sink is of very poor design. Ikea designs are usually very clever, but sadly not in this case. The drying board on a sink is meant to have plenty of drainage channels to funnel the water into the sink. This sink only has 4, so when you put a mug or glass upside down to drain it, you'll return to a wet cup and a pool of water, especially at the higher/right hand side. Call me fussy, but I feel that draining boards on sinks should drain! There shouldn't be any need to buy another draining board to put on top of your draining board! The rest of the sink is good, just the drying board just needs more drainage channels.
Stains SO easily, stay away!Anonymous reviewerAs with the other 2* review here, we are so disappointed with this sink due to how easily it stains. We wanted a white sink with an integrated draining board and i believe this is the only one available on Ikea to this spec. We are so disappointed. The smallest mark will stain it. If you pour tea down the drain, any residue left in the sink stains almost immediately. Not used to having to aggressively clean a sink so often! As with the other review , it’s not recommended to clean with an abrasive cleaner, but that’s all that will work! Not worth it when there’s are so many other options (either Ikea or elsewhere). Unless you really enjoying bleaching a sink weekly , stay away!
The white one stains badlyAnonymous reviewerThe description says:

This isnt true, the surface has a slight texture and is impossible to clean without an abrasive cleaner which is not as recommended in the care instructions.
Ours stained within a couple of weeks of installation after living with a stain free white porcelain sink for a decade. Got a replacement and it did the same thing. Don't buy the white one and IKEA should consider removing this altogether.
The design otherwise is good so get the black one if that works (hence the 2nd star).
Also note the location of the fixing clamps needs to be checked with the location of the under sink unit walls, and not as per instructions as they can't be removed once placed.
Designer looks in the kitchenAnonymous reviewerKitchen refit and i wanted something more contemporary looking. I bought black to contrast against the Erbacken light concrete worktop and it looks great. This sink definitely fits the bill. It has a tough, smooth finish, handy sloped draining surface and all the appearance of brand name sinks at 3 times the cost. It finishes off my kitchen beautifully. Highly recommended
