Wasteful design – replacement pegs should be availableAnonymous reviewerI have raised this directly with IKEA but unfortunately don't feel my concern has been taken seriously.
The PRESSA is a substantial plastic product, yet the individual pegs are inevitably the parts most likely to wear or break. IKEA does not offer replacement pegs, meaning an otherwise functional product may eventually need replacing because of a small component.
This seems contrary to the direction of EU environmental policy. The EU Waste Framework Directive (2008/98/EC) prioritises waste prevention and extending product lifespans, while newer EU Right to Repair and Ecodesign legislation further promotes repairability and access to spare parts.
I appreciate IKEA may not be legally required to provide PRESSA spares, but for a company that strongly promotes sustainability, selling inexpensive replacement pegs seems an obvious step. A few replacement pegs could prevent an entire large plastic product becoming waste.

I have been hanging off buying this because of the colour, but my previous one gave up the ghost and I had no choice. But if a different colour arrived I would replace again! How about lilac or purple??

However this little octopus has established itself as integral part of my laundry routine. Saves space and pegs. Extremely sturdy, so I’m confident it’ll be around for a very long time.

Good but……Anonymous reviewerGood product with usual great pricing. But they don’t last long. The hinge on the pegs break leaving the pegs useless. This has happened on the vast majority of the pegs on the two hangers we purchased (at different times so not a batch problem). We’ve had to replace with normal pegs fastened on with cable ties.

Recommend to others, this dryer is great all year around and definitely a space saver. 16 pegs allow you to hold so many socks/pants, I also hook my bras over the arms of the octopus which increases the holding capacity of this product
Very usefulAnonymous reviewerI have bought two of these for myself and one for my son. They are so useful with 16 pegs for underwear or small items. The Octopus saves a lot of room on the washing line and is useful for airing inside as well.
