We use it to keep a small compost pot in, overflow of vegetable peelings when catrering for a large number, small amounts of washing up and number of other uses around the sink. Immensely useful. It's only drawback is the plastic edging degrades after a while.4

Although it is not adjustable, it some how perfectly fits my sink. I use it to dry my dishes most of the time, and when I cook I use it as colander to wash my veggies. Perfect fit for small kitchen
