Light stains can be removed with a sponge damped in water or a mild soapy solution, or with a fine sandpaper.
Should be treated with oil now and then.
Not dishwasher-safe.
You can place this over-the-sink cutting board over the bowl on VRESJÖN sink series to get an additional work surface for preparing food.
You can also use the chopping board as a serving tray, for food such as cheeses, cooked meats or fruit.

Very poor quality.Anonymous reviewerVery poor quality. After just one use, the board started splitting and small wood chips came off. The colour faded, and the wood separated after washing and drying. Not durable at all.

Poor quality cutting board – not worth the moneyAnonymous reviewerbought this cutting board from IKEA and unfortunately it has been very disappointing. After just one use, the board started to split internally and small chips began coming off the surface. I had properly oiled it before using it, so it wasn’t a case of poor maintenance.
I’ve used several IKEA products over the years and have generally been happy with them, but this one is definitely a do not buy for me. The quality does not match what I expected, and it feels like a waste of money.
I wouldn’t recommend this cutting board to others based on my experience.
Terrible qualityAnonymous reviewerThe item is advertised as being used over a sink, but within four days, the wood layers have separated, warped and split very significantly and rendered the item unusable. As other reviews have also stated it also stained the worktop whilst it fell apart. This item is not fit for purpose as advertised. It should have a warning it is not to be kept near water.

Great idea but poor quality Anonymous reviewerIn theory I love this product, however the first one I had to exchange due to it sitting like a banana. The second one appeared to be better but did the same over the space of a week. It’s not like either of them got wet so it’s disappointing this happened. Looked great when flat and finished the sink off lovely.
DO NOT BUY!Anonymous reviewerWhen this board gets wet it leaks purple liquid, which has stained our worktops. I’ve never had this with any chopping board so I don’t know what this has been treated with, but this product really should be recalled.
The texture also went very rough very quickly and the wood itself is going black in the gaps that have formed. But all this is overshadowed by the fact that if you do not dry it instantly, it will likely stain your worktop. A truly awful product. I’d be tempted to burn it come November if I wasn’t afraid of whatever it’s been treated with. I would give this zero stars if I could.

Chopping boardAnonymous reviewerWe bought this board last week, upon washing it, a lot of the dye came out into the sink. When it dried out the board did not have the same smooth finish and gloss and the wood was left rough and untreated. We saw there was a wood liquid we could buy separately but wasn't sure if the chemicals would transfer over to the food. If you can advice on the treatment or if I can return the item with just the receipt, it will be appreciated it.

However, within days it started to splinter and was staining our new worktops with an very difficult to remove brown colour. Not happy at all!
