Oh Ikea what have you done?!Anonymous reviewerNormally I love all things Ikea...even the building! However, this Nordli chest of drawers was an utter pain to build and the finished product is shocking. Not a patch on other amazing items purchased in the past.
This item arrived in 5 boxes which all had to be unpacked before building could even begin. In previous builds, you build a box at a time which makes the process smoother and less stressful. This was stressful before even starting to put together.
The build quality itself is not a patch on the Malm range even though it is more expensive. The drawer runners are cheap plastic and there is no way they will last a lifetime.
The drawers themselves do not run smooth and they do not even line up which makes the entire thing look cheap and shoddy.
The drawer facings were not thick enough for the screws provided and the screws very nearly poked through the fronts of the drawers making them unsightly. I will need to do some kind of a repair job on them as it looks dreadful.1
Poor quality for the priceAnonymous reviewerWish I had read more reviews first. Also have misaligned drawers, it feels creaky, the drawers don't slide in and out smoothly. No problems with the smaller nordli. Wish I had just bought a larger Malm instead of this1
So big on the outside but small on the inside…Anonymous reviewerAs I tend to find with Ikea, easy to build and customisable!
However, I brought this for the 6 draws as opposed to my previous 5 draws. It was a bit bigger on the outside than my old brimnes, but this doesn’t fit anywhere near the same amount in! The draw space is tiny, and if the drawers are more than half full they don’t shut properly. I’m so disappointed with this piece as it’s one of ikea’s more expensive options, but it’s so much worse than the cheaper options I’ve had in the past. Months later I’m having to look at a new set as despite not acquiring more clothes, half of mine are now on the floor.2

Very disappointedAnonymous reviewerVery disappointed because of the quality. Weird assembly instructions and poor quality. The final product doesn't look bad but nothing is 100% aligned. It feels like a one-time- assembly furniture. I bought cheaper furniture from Ikea which had a better quality than this one. I do not recommend.2

The actual assembly was really straightforward, it did take ages but was basically rinse and repeat as the pieces are duplicates.5
NORDLI Chest of 6 drawersAnonymous reviewerThere was no instructions of what to do first! I've put loads of ikea furniture together and never had a problem. This chest of drawers came in 5 big heavy boxes with 3 instruction booklets. It may have been ok to build one chest of 3 drawers but to make the 6 chest was extremely time consuming as I had to constantly cross reference from what I was doing. I finally googled it and saw the reviews and I wasn't on my own with this experience1
