BinVerified ReviewerOverpriced for what it is. Same one in other shops is cheaper.3
FrustratingVerified ReviewerI've not contacted IKEA over my issue as I was able to resolve it to my satisfaction. But sadly, after only a few uses (i.e., less than about a dozen presses of the pedal) the plastic hinge mechanism failed. My feeling is that it's a result of poor design/engineering, which when the product comes from IKEA and costs £50 is the frustrating part. Upshot is that I've repaired it using two cable ties. It isn't pretty, but it's functional and stops the whole thing going to landfill. Shame I can't upload photos to help others.... Reasons for star ratings: How do you rate the value for money? Maybe I've a distorted view, but £50 for a bin seems expensive given what it constitutes and where it was manuf'd. How do you rate the product quality? The rest looks fit for purpose, just the hinge assembly was poorly designed. How do you rate the product appearance? Subjective but I think it looks fine. Rate whether the product works as you expected: When it works, it works as expected.3
Non slip became a nuisanceVerified ReviewerLoved the bin for the first few weeks. After that, the non-slip rubber around the base would not keep the bin still when I press the pedal. Instead, it kept rolling off and I had to keep getting on the floor to put it back on. Now, the seal is completely misshapen from being folded under the bin too many times and I can’t use the bin without it sliding across the floor. I would have taken it back but the Edmonton IKEA is now closed and I live far from all the others. £50 to not get proper use from it was disappointing2
The waste bin is betterVerified ReviewerThe waste bin is better than anticipated, the slow close feature is useful and we are very happy overall!4
Peddle binVerified ReviewerGreat product great price so happy with purchase goes great with decor in my kitchen5
Mjosa pedal binVerified ReviewerLooks nice, sturdy, lids closes slowly and nicely. Was looking for a small kitchen bin and other ones I saw were quite flimsy and cheap looking and would be easily dented - even the more expensive ones. So was delighted when I found this one.5

Great Bin!Verified ReviewerAmazing price, hands free, good quality!5
A bit pricey for the sizeVerified ReviewerWe needed a new smaller waste bin for the kitchen so this suited. It’s slightly overpriced for the size I thought, and the lid closing mechanism is a bit slow. Otherwise no problems with it.4
Lush binVerified ReviewerLoved this bin dark grey and satin silver top very attractive. The only thing is the inner bin handle which is rather tricky to put a black bag and getting it perfect. But still love it.5

What is steel?

Steel has unique characteristics when it is stretched and shaped since it remains strong. It provides strength to everything from skyscrapers and cars to bed frames and outdoor furniture. The steel industry is moving in the direction of more energy-efficient production and stronger steel qualities. It doesn’t lose any of its properties when recycled and today steel is one of the most recycled materials in the world.
