FrustratingVerified ReviewerI've not contacted IKEA over my issue as I was able to resolve it to my satisfaction. But sadly, after only a few uses (i.e., less than about a dozen presses of the pedal) the plastic hinge mechanism failed. My feeling is that it's a result of poor design/engineering, which when the product comes from IKEA and costs £50 is the frustrating part. Upshot is that I've repaired it using two cable ties. It isn't pretty, but it's functional and stops the whole thing going to landfill. Shame I can't upload photos to help others....

How do you rate the value for money? Maybe I've a distorted view, but £50 for a bin seems expensive given what it constitutes and where it was manuf'd.

Non slip became a nuisanceVerified ReviewerLoved the bin for the first few weeks.
After that, the non-slip rubber around the base would not keep the bin still when I press the pedal. Instead, it kept rolling off and I had to keep getting on the floor to put it back on.
Now, the seal is completely misshapen from being folded under the bin too many times and I can’t use the bin without it sliding across the floor.
I would have taken it back but the Edmonton IKEA is now closed and I live far from all the others.
£50 to not get proper use from it was disappointing2
