Great idea.Anonymous reviewerWe have always had ikea kitchens. On impulse we decide to try howdens as I liked the molded shaker. Big mistake. Love the green colour but much smaller inside and weird fixings. Also much more expensive. I decided I wanted one wall unit so howdens quoted us nearly £600 for it.. too much so I looked online for ideas and saw metod in white. Worked out price and it was exactly half and it looks great against the green kitchen. Will go back to ikea when another kitchen is needed and regret it as the green colour kitchens are very similar. You live and learn.

Suspension rail not included Anonymous reviewerI'm pleased with the cabinet now that it's installed, but the suspension rail wasn't included, so I had to pay an additional £23 for one. I also had to buy a jigsaw for £82 because the rail only comes in 2m lengths, which is quite frustrating. As a result, the £140 cabinet ended up costing me over £200. If a customer buys an 80cm cabinet, it would be helpful to include an 80cm rail. Now I have a 120cm rail left with no use for it.
Really bad design Anonymous reviewerThese are metal door frames with predrilled holes for hinges that are not screwed in but rather pushed in. I dont know who came up with the desigh but for sure not a very practical person. To start the holes are not uniform and the hinge screw like plugs going into these holes are also not uniform as they have flanges. Hinges are supposed to be on constant movement opening and closing and by default these hinges will move out of place with time. Only took 2 tries for them to start coming off the holes. Really disappointed with this. What is more disappointing was Ikea's customer services, clueless and useless spent whole day from one agent to another each with a different message and in the end nothing was resolved.

Not sure what the previous review's complaint is, it seems that Capitalism has spoilt the population, so that many cannot appreciate the amazing choice we have!
For all who are yet to purchase - just buy each item that you need individually. Take your time and enjoy the process! It's meant to be fun. Remember, we don't always get it right first time, this is to be expected!
IKEA provide amazing value for money and great choice.
There would be no point IKEA including every wall fixing kit for all types of wall, as this would increase costs for the customer and increase wastage.
We are going to fit our very old new house with Metod later this year, with the new oak doors. Can't wait, it will be beautiful!

nice enough cabinet, yet another IKEA delivery with essential parts being sold as extrasAnonymous reviewerSo frustrating - we just finished assembling the cabinet only to find out that IKEA didn't include the hanging rail. That had to be purchased extra, but the description only said that fittings were not included (which in most item descriptions just seems to mean wall plugs and screws. Not sure how this is left out under the guise of "each wall is different" - how else is one to attach a hanging cabinet with a unique hanging mechanism to the wall? Feels like false advertising as the real price is just higher (and requires paying for and sitting around for another delivery) - too similar to booking a flight with a budget airline.
