Great Quality CabinetAnonymous reviewerI used it with IKEA's HALLNAS smallish fridge freezer in my bedroom. I paired this METOD cabinet with different IKEA doors (AXTED doors in dark blue) that aren't offered with METOD just so I could get the look I wanted in my room. And it looks great, especially with NYDALA handles. Having had lots of IKEA put-it-together experience, I decided to have a go at putting it together myself. It look me two evenings to finish off and the main problem I encountered was with getting the built-in fridge door to close properly with the cupboard door. I measured twice as I put this all together, making sure that everything was flush but still ended up with something like a 1.5cm gap to the door. It's probably me so METOD still gets full marks but I got around it by putting washers in-between the fridge door connectors - to effectively bring the fridge door closer. And then washers in-between the cabinet door connectors - to effectively bring the cabinet door closer to the fridge. Success!5

However one must make sure that one follows the instructions precisely. Because the products were similar it was easy to make assumptions. Minor details are different from one product to another. This is were the versatility is a double edged sword. I must have fitted 6 different brands of kitchen in our homes over a 40 year period and I rate Metod products very highly.5

Building blocks for the kitchen

METOD frames provide the base for your new kitchen. Choose between base cabinets, wall cabinets and high cabinets in many different widths. Wall cabinets and high cabinets also come in different heights. If you want to use a corner, choose a corner base cabinet with a carousel that makes it easy to reach what's inside. Material

What is particleboard?

Particleboard is made from recycled wood and sawmill leftovers – so wood pieces with the wrong shade, woodchips and sawdust become a resource instead of possibly being discarded. We use boards for things like bookcases, bed frames, sofas and kitchen frames. To protect from wear and moisture, we apply varnish, veneer or foil that adds to the furniture's look.
