You can view and access what's inside, as the drawer can be pulled out all the way.
The smooth-running drawer is equipped with a drawer stop and is self-closing the last few centimetres.
The drawer closes slowly, quietly and softly thanks to the built-in dampers.
You can create more storage with inner drawers, either inside a higher drawer or behind the door.

Decay in quality of Maximera range & dreadful instructionsAnonymous reviewerI've recently added two drawers to my metod kitchen counter. The quality of the screws and fixings is now very poor, in plastic, where previously they were metal. As I adjusted the screws that connect the drawer to the front, the plastic wore off and now I'm waiting for spare parts to replace them. IKEA is really cutting corners, which is very disappointing.
In relation to the instructions, they now come in A5 format rather that A4, and very poor printing quality. Makes it almost impossible to see the details. Yes, the instructions are also online, but do i want to have a device nearby when I'm building stuff? No.
Lining up the drawers with the ones up or down is an absolute nightmare as a result of the issues I identified above.
IKEA can do better and should be doing better.
Dreadful instructions Anonymous reviewerIKEA used to be good but the instructions now appear to have been created by AI. Don’t put the screw into the bottom at an angle, it literally defies the laws of physics - if you do, as they haven’t provided a hole for the screw, it just pushes the front away from the side panels. Bonkers!

Awful to build Anonymous reviewerI’m use to putting up Ikea flat pack but this is by far the worse one I’ve done! Cut all my hands on the metal, something that should be simple doesn’t slot into place only on section 3 ! For the price of them and the complete hassle I strongly don’t recommend!
